L.A. drivers are used to seeing a lot of weird things on the road, but on Monday they got an extra eye-full when a Justin Bieber billboard campaign went sideways in the most hilarious way. A crew putting up a meditative image of the singer’s Balenciaga fashion ad in which the Biebs is giving his most intense Blue Steel look while rocking a black leather jacket and white shirt instead elicited chuckles.
Why?
Because the bottom half appeared to show JB rocking a pair of Kim Kardashian West’s SKIMS shapewear grey underwear and crew socks. The mash-up mistake on the side of the Andaz hotel in West Hollywood almost looked like it was meant to be, which caused Twitter to go nuts with memes and jokes about the business on top, party on bottom image; according to People a crew has since replaced the bottom half with Bieber’s legs clad in black sweatpants and running shoes. At press time neither Bieber nor Kardashian West had commented on the accidental pantsing.
While the ad gaffe was funny, there’s no joking about Justin’s latest chart record thanks to his collaboration with the Kid LAROi on “Stay.” The song just scored a fourth week at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 songs chart, passing the three-week reign of JB’s 2016 single “Stay” for his longest ride at the top of that chart as a lead artist.
